CXUs progress through a defined lifecycle: DRAFT → ACTIVE → INACTIVE → VERSIONED, with approval gates for REGULATED and ABSOLUTE classifications.

Knowledge in PYRANA is not static. Claims are created as drafts, reviewed and activated, can be deactivated when superseded, and are versioned to preserve history. High-stakes classifications require explicit human approval before activation.
