PYRANA uses a multi-backend architecture: PostgreSQL as the source of truth, Neo4j for the knowledge graph, Qdrant for vector search, and Redis for caching.

Each backend is chosen for its strengths: PostgreSQL for relational integrity and full-text search, Neo4j for relationship traversal and TEMPR memory graphs, Qdrant for semantic similarity at scale, Redis for low-latency caching.
