Discovery phase SOWs are fixed-price, typically 2-4 weeks, and produce a Technical Requirements Document (TRD) and implementation roadmap as primary deliverables.

Fixed-price Discovery scopes the risk for both parties. The TRD becomes the contractual basis for the Build SOW. If Discovery reveals scope materially different from initial assumptions, the Build SOW is repriced accordingly.
